TALOQAN (Pajhwok): The Environment Protection Department in northern Takhar province has established a standard incinerator for waste disposal in Taloqan.
Dr. Zubair Naeemi, the environment projection director, said all health centres used to put their waste in different parts of the city, causing air pollution and ailments.
The facility had been set up to prevent environment pollution in Taloqan, the provincial capital, he said.
Meanwhile, the Public Health Department called the incinerator as an effective step towards preventing pollution. It asked health centres to collect burn their waste in coordination with the department.
