PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): After four years of reforms, Pakistan has finally been removed from the grey list by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
The Paris-based money laundering and terrorism financing watchdog decided on Friday to remove Pakistan from the list of countries under increased monitoring.
At the conclusion of the task force’s plenary session, FATF President Raja Kumar acknowledged Pakistan had largely addressed all action plan items.
FATF had conducted an onsite visit at the end of August and the team confirmed a high-level of commitment from the Pakistani leadership and sustainability of reforms, he said.
