KABUL (Pajhwok): US Special Envoy for Afghanistan’s Women and Girls Rights in Afghanistan Rina Amiri has termed education for all Afghans key to lift Afghanistan out of poverty and restore hope.
On her Twitter handle she wrote: “The Taliban can’t deny half the population education & work opportunities & claim to move Afghanistan towards economic independence.”
“There are credible reports of the Taliban expelling Hazara women from Kabul University's dorms, jeopardizing their educational future, & reports of women being turned away from college entrance exams deemed "too difficult," she wrote.
