JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Thirty talc processing factories have been shut in eastern Nangarhar province following a significant increase in customs duty on export of the product, the Talc Businesspersons Association said on Sunday.
They said in the past five percent customs tariff was charged but now it had been increased to 25 percent, affecting their business and forcing some factories to be closed.
The government says a delegation has been dispatched to the province which will work to resolve problems plaguing talc business.
