TALOQAN (Pajhwok): The import and export of commercial goods have unprecedentedly decreased at I-Khanoum port in the Dasht-i-Qala district of northern Takhar province, according to local officials said on Sunday.
The officials added, during the previous regime, Afghanistan was importing steel, cement, some medical and other items from Tajikistan and exported grains like rice, wheat and cooking oil from Afghanistan, but after the takeover by the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), trade activities at this port unprecedentedly decreased.
