KABUL (Pajhwok): The sale of traditional herbal medicines has seen an unprecedented surge over the past three months in Nimroz province.
Nazar Mohammad Attayee, a Zaranj-based herbalist who has been in the business for many years, has been supporting his five-member family.
Attayee told Pajhwok Afghan News most people preferred the use of traditional remedies in addition to allopathic (mainstream) medicine.
The man, who has been selling herbal medicine in Zaranj for 15 years, says: “I earn a living through keeping a herbal remedy shop.”
