TALOQAN (Pajhwok): A hemodialysis machine and oxygen producing plant has been inaugurated in the Provincial Hospital of northern Takhar province, an official said on Monday.
Health Ministry officials who travelled to Takhar province for the inauguration ceremony said they will soon promote the hospital from 150-bed to 200-bed.
Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, finance and administration director of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), said the purpose of the hemodialysis and oxygen plant was to address the problems of patients.
He assured efforts were on to develop the health system in all provinces and soon the Takhar Provincial Hospital will be promoted from 150-bed to 200-bed.
Public Health Director Dr. Abdul Qahar Ahmadi said in the past the treatment of all patients was not possible in the Provincial hospital and they were sent to other places.
The installation of two new facilities will help in the treatment of complicated patients, he added.
