NEILI (Pajhwok): Aman Hashimi, a resident of central Daikundi province, has spent a decade of his life teaching students and promoting education.
In these cold days, he spends all his time arranging the results of more than 450 students who he taught in the past year.
Aman Hashimi has worked in the Education Department for more than 10 years and he started teaching when he was a student in his hometown in Gerwi area of Shahristan district.
He told Pajhwok when he was too young it was his dream to become a teacher and serve education and now it has been a decade he is associated with the profession.
“When I was student, I had a lot of interest in education, especially in teaching. After completing education , I applied for a teacher post.”
After five years of teaching in his hometown, he was appointed as principal of the school in Khadir district through an open competition.
According to Hashemi, he wants to implement plans and programs which improve the quality of lessons. Currently he is happy that he has been able to implement his plans for mental and moral improvement of students.
He called the shortage of teachers in his school as one of the challenges, but said he had solved this problem voluntarily in coordination with other teachers.
Hashimi added: “We are accountable to the students, to their parents, the society and officials. We communicate with parents and fortunately we are very successful.”
He believed all problems stemmed from lack of awareness, cultural issues and ignorance and not taking full advantage of science and knowledge. He wants everyone to work hard to educate their children.
