KABUL (Pajhwok): Tensions on the Durand Line are against the interest of Afghanistan and Pakistan, says the caretaker foreign minister.
Relations between the neighbours should be based on principles and sovereignty, Amir Khan Muttaqi said, hailing Pakistan as a friendly country.
Addressing an event at the Presidential Palace here on Sunday, he insisted recent clashes on the Durand Line were in the interest of neither side.
Mounting international pressures on the Islamic Emirate would trigger uncontrollable insecurity and instability in Afghanistan, he warned.
