KABUL (Pajhwok): Thousands of poor families and farmers in Nangarhar, Logar, Jawzjan and Zabul provinces were distributed food, cash and improved quality wheat seeds, officials said on Tuesday.
In eastern Nangarhar province, the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) and the Afghan Red Crescent Society provided food aid to 2,800 poor families.
Nangarhar Information and Culture Department media coordination head Qureshi Badlon told Pajhwok Afghan News the poor families belonged to Jalalabad city, Achin and some other districts.
According to his information, 2305 families in Achin district were given the aid, with each family receiving 50 kilograms of flour . . .
