HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): About 4,500 drug addicts have been rounded up from different parts of the capital of western Herat province by the counter narcotics department.
Maulvi Hayatullah Rohani, director of counter-narcotics, said most of the drugs addicts were returnees from Iran. They were rounded up at the beginning of the winter.
He said 700 of drug dealers had been arrested and 23 narcotic laboratories destroyed so far in the province.
Sifatullah, who is currently admitted to the Jawan Mard Rehabilitation Centre, expressed happiness over his treatment.
