KABUL (Pajhwok): The Herat customs collected 19.7 billion afs in revenue over the past 10 months, showing a 68 percent hike, the Ministry of Finance said on Sunday.
The ministry recalled it had collected 11.7 billion afs in revenue from the Herat Customs House in 10 months of the last year.
In a tweet, MoF linked the revenue hike to better management, transparent regulations, professional commitment, anti-corruption efforts and provision of facilities for traders.
Most of Afghanistan’s customs facilities and systems had been computerised and bridge scales installed, the ministry concluded.
