KABUL (Pajhwok): The European Union (EU) has delivered 100 tons of life-saving medicines and medical equipment to Afghanistan.
A EU Humanitarian Air Bridge flight carrying about 100 tons of life-saving supplies landed in Kabul on Wednesday to support the most vulnerable in Afghanistan.
EU charge daffaires and Deputy Head of Delegation Raffaella Iodice said:” The European Union continues to support the people of Afghanistan. Today’s Humanitarian Air Bridge flight delivers additional vital medicines and medical items that will benefit the Afghan people”.
“The EU Humanitarian Air Bridge helps the United Nations and humanitarian NGOs to keep operating in the country and represents a lifeline to those in need of medical treatment”.
This was the 27th cargo flight arriving in Kabul since August 2021 to support the people of Afghanistan.
It enables EU humanitarian partners, including the United Nations and humanitarian NGOs, to continue delivering vital aid and health care services to Afghans in need.
