KABUL (Pajhwok): Uzbekistan Special Envoy for Afghanistan Abdul Aziz Kamilov has arrived in Afghanistan and held separate meetings with Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and acting Defence Minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqoub Mujahid.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on his twitter handle wrote that Uzbekistan’s President Special Envoy Abdul Aziz Kamilov and accompanying delegation has held a meeting with Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

During the meeting political, trade, economic and agriculture relationship between the two countries were discussed.

Referring to Afghanistan’s recent progress Muttaqi said opportunities for both the countries were available in different areas and stressed that political relationship between the two nations had grown in different areas.

He hoped that participation of Afghan government representatives in Central Asian States conferences could further enhance the importance of such huddles.

According to Balkhi, Uzbek special envoy arrived in Kabul on the direction of Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyev for the promotion of trade and agriculture relationship between the two countries.

Kamilov said that Uzbekistan was ready to share the advices of its technical teams with Afghan side and enhance bilateral trade to one billion dollars.

Separately, Kamilov met Acting Defence Minister and discussed security related matters between the two countries.
