KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Food Programme (WFP) is facing the shortage of fund and would be able to provide four million people with food out of total 13 million vulnerable people in Afghanistan, an official said on Monday.
WFP-Afghanistan Spokesperson Wahidullah Amani told Pajhwok Afghan News this year the WFP was faced with the shortage of fund and would decline its food aid coverage.
“Next month WFP planned to distribute food items to 13 million vulnerable people but if more financial resource are not provided WFP would only entertain 13 million people,” he added.
