JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The municipality executed 14 reconstruction projects in Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, last solar year using its own budget, an official said on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference here, Jalalabad municipality spokesman Bakhti Jan Murad said many other projects were also completed with cooperation of donor agencies with some still in progress.
Shedding light on the municipality’s last year’s performance, Murad said they collected 427 million afghanis in revenue in 1401 solar year --- 175 million afghanis up compared to 1400 fiscal year.
He attributed the increase in revenue to the prevention of corruption . . .
