KABUL (Pajhwok): A delegation, headed by the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) chief, has arrived in Uzbekistan for talks on the technical study for the trans-Afghan rail project.
The project involves the construction of a railroad connecting Pakistan through Afghanistan with Uzbekistan.
ARA tweeted that the delegation, headed by Acting Director Mullah Bakhtur Rahman Sharafat, had reached Uzbekistan.
It wrote the team would hold talks with Uzbekistani and Pakistani officials on the launch of the technical study for the project and strengthening cooperation on building the railroad.
Dates for the technical and economic studies are expected to be firmed up . . .
