KABUL (Pajhwok): UNICEF-Afghanistan says the King Salman Relief and Islamic Development Bank have agreed to contribute $2 million in aid to the Afghanistan’s Humanitarian Trust Fund for purchasing therapeutic food and drinking water supply.
Under the agreement, UNICEF hoped it would be able to purchase additional ready-to-use therapeutic food to treat over 18,700 children with severe acute malnutrition and supply clean drinkable water to 32,000 in rural communities.
The Islamic Development Bank tweeted that some residents in central Logar and southeastern Paktika provinces would get access to clean drinkable water.
