KABUL (Pajhwok): Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders (MSF), says it treated 1,061 malnourished children in southern Helmand province in the past four months, showing a 16.5 percent increase over last year.
“MSF teams in Lashkargah (Hemand’s capital) are witnessing alarming numbers of malnourished patients. Over the past four months we have treated 1,061 children in our inpatient therapeutic feeding centres: an increase of 32.6% and 16.5% compared to 2021 and 2022 respectively.”
