KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 2,000 Afghan refugees returned from Iran yesterday (Tuesday), the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Wednesday.
At least 2,778 Afghan refugees came back to the country via Islam Qala in western Herat province, the ministry tweeted.
It wrote after a survey, 552 of the returnees were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance.
On Monday, A total of 3,186 Afghan refugees returned from the neighboring country.
