Inter-club boxing tournament begins in Kabul

KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Sports and Olympic Committee says a three-day boxing tournament involving 24 clubs commenced in Kabul on Saturday.

The committee wrote on its Twitter page 115 athletes from 24 clubs of Kabul city were taking part in the event being held at the training ground of the National Federation of Physical Training and Sports in Kabul.

The National Olympic Committee said that pugilists aged 12, 13 and 14 years were participating in the competitions aimed at encouraging young athletes.
