KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan National Standards Authority has denied entry to six tankers importing low-quality petrol from Uzbekistan at Hairtan port in northern Balkh province.
ANSA wrote on its Twitter page that it was for the first time in the past 20 years that low-quality oil was sent back to Uzbekistan.
The authority said it had recently taken steps to prevent the import of low-quality petroleum products to the country, asking traders to import quality goods otherwise face legal action.
Last week, the authority did not allow 19 tons of low-quality gas from Uzbekistan to the country.
Recently, ANSA officials said about 60,000 tankers of petroleum products were imported to the country 1401 solar year 1,000 tons of low-quality fuel was denied entry.
