MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Work on the construction of a roundabout in the Andkhoi district of northwestern Faryab province has begun, an official said on Sunday.
Andkhoi Mayor Da Mullah Atiqullah Karimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the name of the square is Ziaee Masma which is being constructed by Abdul Momin Ziaee, head of the Ziaee Company, at the cost of 20 million afs on the Maimana Andkhoi Road.
He said it was the second square being built in the past two months by the local businessmen and due to the efforts of municipality.
Acting Agriculture Director Mawlavi Attaullah Umar during the inauguration ceremony said: “Islamic system has established, peace and security is maintained, now there is opportunity for investment, construction and infrastructure development.”
He pledged the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ support for businessmen and pledged to work hard to facilitate the business community.
Abdul Momin Zeaee said his patriotism with the country that he inherited from his ancestors forced him to launch work on the square. The project will cost over 20 million afs and the construction will meet international standards.
