ATLANATA (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has opened eight new wards at a cost of 50million afghanis at the Sheikh Zayed National Neuroscience Hospital in Kabul.
The new departments include an intensive care unit (ICU), well-equipped operating rooms, recovery, a computers tomography (CT) scan facility, a blood bank, a laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, an electroencephalogram (EEG), echo and male and female out-patient department (OPD).
Public Health Minister Dr. Qalandar Ibad called the opening of the new wards and rebuilding old ones a step closer to the standardisation of Afghanistan’s health sector.
