FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Flooding in the Panj River has closed the ring road that connects four districts in northeastern Badakhshan province, local officials said on Wednesday.
The trapped residents stress the road must be opened for traffic otherwise the people will face serious problems.
Maulvi Akram Tayib, Shekai Darwaz district chief, said the district ring road remained closed since last three days due to the increased water level in Panj River near Khuwand village.
Tayib said he visited the mountainous area and found it impossible for the local residents or local government officials to solve the matter with their resources, asking . . .
