HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Two portable x-ray machines have been installed at Islam Qala border zero point in western Herat province for the rapid Tuberculosis diagnosis of repatriated refugees, an official said on Wednesday.
Dr. Khan Mohammad Mangal, in-charge of the National Tuberculosis Programme, said this machine has the ability to diagnose Tuberculosis in two seconds and later the affected persons would be provided treatment in their own areas.
At the meantime another similar machine was purchased at the cost of $95,000 for the Islam Qala clinic as well.
