Oxygen plant inaugurated in Balkh Zonal Hospital

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): An Oxygen production plant has been inaugurated in the Abu Ali Sina Zonal Hospital in northern Balkh province, according to a statement on Friday.

The provincial Media Centre quoted Najibulllah Tawana, head of the Public Health Department, saying: “The plant built at the cost of $350 and it produces 1,500 litres of oxygen in one minute.”

He said the plant would generate oxygen needed by the patients in the Hospital.

The source did not say which department provided fund for the construction of oxygen plant.

Balkh Deputy Governor Noorulhadi Abul Edress said that government was committed to introduce more facilities.
