GARDEZ (Pajhwok): The reconstruction of 25-kilometres Gardez-Kabul highway’s dilapidated part has begun, an official said on Tuesday.
Mohammad Rasoul Ahmadi, spokesperson for the Paktia Governor Office, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “The reconstruction of those parts destroyed in last year’s floods from Gardez City to Logar province has started.”
He said the road is being reconstructed by the Public Works Ministry at the cost of 215 million afs and it would be completed in four months.
He said the dilapidated parts of the road would be reconstructed and retaining walls would also be erected.
