KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan Consulate in Karachi says Pakistani authorities have released another 75 undocumented Afghan nationals from prisons and they have been sent to their home country.
Abdul Jabar Takhari, acting head of the Afghan Consulate in Karachi, wrote on X (formerly twitter) that 75 more Afghan nationals, including six children, were released from prisons in Karachi on Tuesday.
According to him, efforts to release other Afghans languishing in Pakistan jails have been also underway.
These Afghan citizens were transferred to their country at the expense of the government.
On August 27, the Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation (MoRR) announced the release of 25 Afghan migrants after spending one to six months in Pakistani jails.
