ASADABAD (Pajhwok): A team of eye specialist doctors on Wednesday returned to Kabul after treating nearly 3500 people at the provincial hospital in eastern Kunar province.
Kunar Public Health Department spokesman Ayaz Sapi told Pajhwok the specialists had been at Asadabad hospital for 10 days ago and returned to Kabul today.
He added the team operated on 250 patients and distributed medicines to 3,218 people after their diagnosis and also gave away glasses to 400 people.
He said before the team’s arrival, people in all districts and remote areas were informed through local media.
