KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) supreme leader has visited a 350-bed hospital in the capital of southern Kandahar province, the governor house said on Thursday.
Sheik Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada visited the hospital in the Aino Mena of Kandahar City on Wednesday afternoon, a statement from the Governor House said.
He was accompanied by Maulvi Hayatullah Mubarak, deputy governor of the province, Director of Public Health Maulvi Mohammad Adam Muslim and others officials.
The IEA supreme leader met hospitalised patients and inquired about their health. He wished them good health.
Sheikh Hibatullah also went round different sections of the hospital and listened to staff problems and demands. He assured them of full cooperation.
The supreme leader provided cash assistance to all health personnel of the hospital in addition to patients, the statement concluded.
