ATLANTA (Pajhwok): Permanent representative of the previous government to the United Nations, Nasir Ahmad Faiq, has said he is participating in the ongoing annual general session of the world’s body on behalf of Afghanistan.
Earlier, reports emerged that Afghanistan’s seat in the UN general assembly will be vacant and no one will represent the country.
But Faiq told the BBC he participated in the annual general assembly and side meetings on behalf of Afghanistan.
He added that next week the UN Security Council would convene a special meeting on Afghanistan and he would present Afghanistan in that huddle . . .
