KABUL (Pahjwok): Iran's interior minister Ahamd Vahidi has emphasized the return of illegal Afghan refugees to their country, saying unofficial statistics show around five million Afghans live in Iran.
IRNA reported that Ahmad Vahidi said today (Wednesday) on the sidelines of a meeting: "What we can unofficially announce is that about about five million Afghans live in Iran."
He added the situation of immigrants and foreigners had become an important issue, which was on the agendas of all institutions, including the Ministry of Interior.
He also hinted at plans to organize foreigners and immigrants.
