HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Twenty magicians have been arrested in western Herat province, officials of the provincial Vice and Virtue and Complaints department said on Saturday.
The department head, Sheikh Aziz Rahman Almuhajir said after the issuance of a decree by the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate (IE), the department began rounding up magicians in the city and its personnel had so far arrested 20 wizards.
He said the cases of some of the sorcerers have been referred to judicial authorities and some others promised not to play magic anymore.
