JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Some repatriated Afghans have said Pakistani military personnel had extorted them in Torkham and some other areas upon their return to Afghanistan.
They claimed Pakistani security personnel extorted people and if someone refused they were not allowed to enter Afghanistan.
Among these repatriates are individuals who were arrested by Pakistani security forces and their families were sent. Individuals were released after they were extorted.
Syed Rahim, one of the refugees who lived in Panjab, Pakistan, had returned via Torkham said in Pakistan’s Attock area Pakistani Traffic Police took 30,000 rupees from him as fine.
