KABUL (Pajhwok): The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Afghanistan demanded fund to provide immediate post-arrival assistance for repatriated Afghan refugees, according to a statement on Wednesday.
UNOCHA on its Twitter handle wrote that Humanitarian Coordinator Daniel Endres Torkham crossing on the border between Afghanistan & Pakistan to meet with new arrivals and assess the situation.
The UN agency said from November 1-4 a staggering 20,000 to 21,000 Afghans, 60pc children, crossed at Torkham and Spin Boldak into Afghanistan.
