NEILI (Pajhwok): Residents and officials in central Daikundi province say they are concerned about plummeting underground water level and ask the people to cooperate with the government in managing water resources.
Khudadad, an official of the Daikundi River Basin Authority, told Pajhwok Afghan News due to climate change and less rainfall, the underground water level had decreased by 30-50cm compared to last year in the province.
He said their teams surveyed and checked wells and fountains in districts and found that underground water level had significantly decreased.
