JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A three-day exhibition of domestic products kicked off in eastern Nangarhar province on the margins of the International Conference on Climate Change.

The three-day conference is hosted by the Nangarhar University and is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Domestic industrial and agricultural products, dried and fresh fruits, processed food, cultural clothes, construction and light produced goods have been put on display at the exhibition.

The exhibition has been organized on the Nangarhar University campus and everyone can visit it without any restrictions.

Nangarhar Commerce and Industry Director Syed Abdul Basir Pacha said the purpose of the exhibition was to support and find market for domestic products.

He said residents of some provinces and people from some foreign countries were in Nangarhar to attend the conference, offering the best opportunity to find market for domestic products, especially products of Nangarhar.

According to him, 70 stalls have been set up in the exhibition and in each stall, a company’s, factory’s or fruit processing products have been presented for sale.

At the same time, Toor Malang Shagiwal, head of Nangarhar Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said the exhibition was useful in marketing domestic products and hoped market would be found for domestic products.

Barkatullah, a student of economic faculty at Nangarhar University, said the exhibition was not only beneficial for factory owners and industrialists, but also for students.
