KABUL (Pajhwok): The commission for addressing problems of deported refugees has decided to distribute cash assistance of $1.8 million from the UAE to returnees from different countries during Ramadan.
Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the commission’s meeting was attended by officials of 12 committees on Monday.
The meeting discussed the distribution of aid to the returnees, ensuring the provision of food, clothing and shelter to them, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.
It was also decided at the meeting to distribute cash assistance provided by the UAE to the returnees and deserving families.
