KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi says Daesh or Islamic State (IS) does not exist in Afghanistan.
During the opening ceremony of the joint Afghan-Kazakh international exhibition, Muttaqi, without naming anyone, said that three neighbouring countries were providing a favourable environment for Daesh in the region.
“One country contributes human resources, another is involved in training, financing, and promotion activities, while the third country facilitates its attacks,” he added.
According to the foreign minister, some of the incidents in Afghanistan have been carried out by individuals who have benefited from such actions.
He reiterated Afghanistan's commitment to non-aggression and urged other nations to cease destructive activities within Afghan borders.
