KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Food and Drugs Authority (AFDA) destroyed expired and low-quality food items weighing 25 tons in Kabul, an official said on Tuesday.
AFDA Director Dr. Naeem Ayubi told media that the expired, non-standard and low quality food items included candies, biscuits, energy drinks and other items which had been collected from different areas of Kabul.
He asked businessmen to import standard and high quality food items to the country and he warned that judiciary organs would take legal action against violators.
Earlier, AFDA destroyed about 20 tons of expired food items in the past one . . .
