NEILLI (Pajhwok): The construction work of two school buildings has been completed in the Kaiti district of central Daikundi province, an official said on Saturday.
The Governor Spokesperson Ghazanfar Kazami told Pajhwok Afghan News the building of Shalizar Boys High School was completed at the cost of nearly four million afs with the financial support of UNICEF. He said the building comprised of six classrooms.
He said the construction of Tajrib School was completed at the cost of over 2.3 million afs provided by UNICEF in the Kati district. This building was also comprised of six classrooms.
According to Education Department Officials total of 431 schools existed in Daikundi in which 170 schools in different areas were without buildings. In Daikundi 133,000 students, including 61,000 girls, are enrolled in schools.
