KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Hajj and Religious Affairs Minister Maulvi Noor Mohammad Saqib has asked the Islamic world to take a united stance on Israeli crimes in Gaza and extend unwavering support to the Palestinians.

He issued the call while addressing a consultative meeting of scholars from Islamic countries in Istanbul, the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs (MoHRA) wrote on its X handle.

Saqib appreciated Turkey for organizing the conference on problems being faced by the Ummah.

He said the Ummah now faced with various intellectual, political, social and economic crises and their solution needed concerted and serious efforts.

Saqib said: “Today, the oppressed people of Palestine are brutally attacked, hundreds of people, including women and children, are martyred every day. Now it is up to the Ummah to unanimously oppose these crimes and support the Palestinians or not”.

He added the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) was committed to supporting and standing with the Palestinians in such a difficult situation.

The caretaker government has started extensive efforts for economic growth and employment of people and a large number development projects are being implemented in Afghanistan, he informed the meeting.
