Moneychanger rescued, 7 kidnappers held in Jalalabad

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Security forces have rescued a moneychanger and arrested seven kidnappers, including a woman, in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.

Lawang Shinwari had been kidnapped from the 7th police district of the provincial capital 15 days ago by unidentified individuals, said the governor’s spokesman Maulvi Syed Ahmad.

He added the captive was rescued by security forces,who arrested seven kidnappers, including a woman. The detainees would be referred to judicial organs after preliminary investigation, the official concluded.
