KABUL (Pajhwok): A 22-year-old enmity between two families, claiming 11 lives, has ended as a result of efforts from officials, religious scholars and tribal elders in the Paghman district of Kabul.
Addressing a reconciliation gathering, Kabul Governor Mullah Aminullah Obaid urged elders and religious scholars not to allow such feuds to linger and convert them into friendships.
Hamdullah Khalid Haidar, administrative chief for Paghman, said the families had been in enmity for 20 years. He said they were striving day and night to end such enmities.
