KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi has reaffirmed Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s support for the resistance and rightful demands of Palestinians.
Muttaqi had a telephone conversation with Hamas political head Ismail Haniyeh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement.
Latest political and jihadi developments in the embattled Gaza Strip and other regional issues came up for discussion, the ministry said.
Muttaqi hailed the struggle and dedication of Palestinians and underlined the importance of unity and perseverance in Jihad.
He also welcomed negotiations and agreement reached between the Palestinian groups in Beijing, the capital of China.
Haniyeh appreciated Kabul’s position on Palestine, especially over the recent events in Gaza, and shared information about the recent negotiations with Israel.
