Samangan woman rescued from husband’s captivity

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A woman has been released from her husband’s captivity after eight months of torture in northern Samangan province, a police official said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Hashmatullah Rahmani told Pajhwok Afghan News the woman was released from eight months of illegal confinement at the hands of her spouse and his family in Feroz Nakhchir district.

Security forces rescued Bibi Amina and shifted her to the main provincial hospital for medical care, he added.

According to the police spokesman, her husband and father-in-law have been  arrested and handed over to judicial organs.
