Badri urges Turkish investment in fuel, gas sectors

KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkish Ambassador in Kabul Cenk Ünal says his country’s businesspeople are willing to invest in Afghanistan’s mineral resources.

He said this at a meeting with Minister of Mines and Petroleum Mullah Hidayatullah Badri here on Wednesday, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) said.

A statement from the ministry quoted Ünal as saying: “Ankara will cooperate with Afghans in various sectors.”

He said Turkish businesspeople were interested in investing in Afghanistan’s mineral resources and 78 Turkish firms would kick off practical work soon.

All foreign capitalists were welcome to invest in different sectors in Afghanistan, commented Badri, who assured investors of all possible cooperation.

While urging investment in Afghanistan mining sector, Badri urged Turkish businesspeople to invest in fuel and gas sectors.
