KABUL (Pajhwok): UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) has provided stationery to 76,000 school students from the first to the third grade in Lashkargah, the capital of southern Helmand province, and districts.
Mawlvi Mohammad Qasim Riaz, the spokesman of the Helmand governor, told Pajhwok News Agency that stationary items have been stored in the warehouse of the Department of Education and would be distributed regularly to schools as needed.
He also thanked the UNICEF for their support and cooperation with the Department of Education.
It is worth noting that the distribution of these teaching materials was officially started yesterday.
