Deputy minister for border and tribal affairs Mohammad Ali Jan held a meeting with tribal elders and religious scholars in the province. The meeting was aimed at maintaining and unity among the people.
Ali Jan said his ministry was trying to resolve feuds between tribes. MoBTA resolved hundreds of small and big feuds between tribes in the country last year.
“We resolved more than 400 enmities, in which hundreds of people had been killed in 1402 solar year and Alhamdulillah the process has accelerated and we can solve twice as many problems”: he added.
Since the Islamic Emirate’s takeover, most enmities between families and tribes had been resolved in the country, tribal elders explained.
Mukhtar Jalalzai, a tribal elder, told Pajhwok: “The truth is that the Islamic Emirate paid a lot of attention to social problems in recent times and it has been very effective. Personal clashes were turned into friendships, and this procedure is very useful”.
According to Agha Jan, another tribal elder, said reconciling foes is not only the work of the government, but people’s cooperation is necessary in this regard.
“If tribes and leaders support real service and honesty, then, God willing, all problems will be solved. If the tribes and the IEA join hands, everything will be alright”.
At this meeting, other tribal elders said it was important for the stability of the existing system that officials address problems and demands of the people on time.
